No, all payments are made at the day of pickup (usually the day after the auction ends) payment can be made with credit/debit card, cash or check. Please Note: If items are not retrieved on the designated pickup day, and prior arrangements have not been made with Richmond Online Auctions, your registered credit card will be charged for the total amount at the end of that day.

What is the maximum bid feature?

Upon placing a bid, you will be prompted to enter your “Maximum Bid” this is the largest amount you are comfortable paying for that item at that time, our software will attempt to win you the item at the lowest possible amount. For example if you are the first person to bid on an item and you enter a $10 dollar maximum bid, your actual bid will only be 1$ until someone else places another bid. The system will then competitively bid for you up to the maximum amount you have set.

Starting at the designated end time for each auction (normally 2pm on Thursdays) items will begin ending at a rate of 3 items per minute, for example items 1, 2 and 3 will end promptly at 2pm while items 4,5 and 6 will end at 2:01pm and will continue that way until all items have ended.

How does auto-extend work?

Subheading

Any time a bid is placed on an time that has less than 3 minutes until its end time, the system will automatically extend the end time an additional 3 minutes in order to allow the interested parties more time to place their bids. Each additional bid will extend the end time a further 3 minutes until such time as no more bids are placed.
